When The Ford Family Foundation chooses to invest in our future, they usher us into a new family, which does not cease to exist when we graduate.

I believe the Ford Scholar Alumni are currently far underutilized resources for one another, but I see the potential we have to build a vibrant and rich community. I envision a future for the FSAA where we are one another’s loudest cheerleaders and most treasured supporters.

Some of my main goals involve increasing engagement on our social media platforms and attendance at our events. If more alumni join our social networks, there are greater chances of alumni gaining awareness of events and involving themselves in conversations happening through these mediums.

I would also seek to double last year’s attendance at the holiday celebration this year.

Other main goals I have would involve working with the Information Support Assistant at the Scholarship Office to develop a more mature and detailed database for alumni information. This would be in hopes of spotting trends and developing methods for testing the long-term effects of the Foundation on individuals’ lives.

As a member of the board, I will work to further develop platforms where we engage with one another, thus building upon the foundation the Ford Family generously lays for us as a family unit. Besides acting as stronger resources for one another, I would love to hear what the alumni need in order to be stronger leaders in their community and then let this inform how I serve and lead.
