Chris Schulze<\/strong><\/p>\n

Chris and his wife, Noelle, welcomed a son, Samuel Albert Schulze, on Jan. 2, 2015. He weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces. His big sister, Adelade, is gentle and loving with him.<\/p>\n

Class of 1997<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Katie (Carriker) Keller<\/strong>
\nKatie and her husband, Chris, welcomed their first baby, Henry Julius Keller, on Dec. 16, 2014, which is also his father\u2019s birthday. He weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 19 inches long.<\/p>\n

Class of 1998<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Sean Anderson<\/strong><\/p>\n

After working 11 years as a project manager for a large international general contracting firm and two years for a smaller local general contractor, Sean made the leap to start his own general contracting company in San Jose, Calif., Stoer Construction, Inc. Stoer in Dutch, means \u201cstrong\u201d or \u201crobust,\u201d which was inspired by his Dutch heritage. Strength is a fitting concept for the construction industry and is reflective of his company and his values.<\/p>\n

Kristin (Moll) Flynn<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kristin received the \u201c40 Under 40\u201d Award from the Pacific Coast Business Times newspaper in the fall of 2014. As stated in the Pacific Coast Business times, \u201cThe 40 Under 40 has come to symbolize the new generation of dynamic, diverse and talented leaders who are rapidly taking their places among the leadership ranks of Tri-County businesses and non-profits. The 40 Under 40 is the only region-wide recognition event of its kind in the Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo County region.” Kristin serves as the chief human resources officer for Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, a Tenet Healthcare hospital in San Luis Obispo, Calif.<\/p>\n

Class of 2000<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Toby\u00a0Joyce<\/strong><\/p>\n

Toby was recently appointed to the Pioneer Memorial Hospital Board of Directors and Advisory Board. Pioneer Memorial Hospital is part of St. Charles Health System and is located in Prineville, Ore.<\/p>\n

Class of 2001<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Todd\u00a0Gifford<\/strong><\/p>\n

Todd\u2019s youngest daughter, Emma Bliss, turned two on Jan. 26, 2015. His oldest son, Joshua, graduated from high school last June with two years of college completed and will apply for nursing school in the spring. High school sophomore, Matthew, is finishing his final year on JV basketball and looking forward to playing varsity ball his last two years. Todd is celebrating five years since opening his start-up general dental practice in January 2010.<\/p>\n

Stephanie\u00a0Hatch<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stephanie recently became the Cat Zone manager at Cat Town Caf\u00e9 and Adoption Center, America’s first cat caf\u00e9, a non-profit dedicated to saving shy and sensitive cats that might otherwise be overlooked in the municipal shelter. While she earned a college degree in art, she always said, “If I weren’t an artist, I’d be a zoologist.” Her position at Cat Town is a wonderful middle ground that allows her to pursue her passion of caring for animals, while exhibiting her art in Oakland, Calif.<\/p>\n

Class of 2003<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Cassie\u00a0DeFillipo<\/strong><\/p>\n

In March, Cassie will begin a doctorate program in international development at the University of Melbourne in Victoria, Australia.<\/p>\n

Zachary\u00a0Porter<\/strong><\/p>\n

In August 2014, Zachary began his first year of law school. It took him seven years to marshal the courage to apply to law school. He says he owes a lot of the credit for that courage to those who have believed in him, and few have put more faith and hard work into his success than The Ford Family Foundation.<\/p>\n

Class of 2008<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Samantha (McSharry) Vincent<\/strong><\/p>\n

Samantha and her husband welcomed their second son, Oliver, on Aug. 18, 2014.<\/p>\n

Class of 2009<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Keith\u00a0Fakhoury<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keith was recently accepted into GE’s Financial Management Program that grooms recent college students for leadership roles in the company. The two-year program consists of courses taught by professors alongside four six-month work rotations all over the world. He is currently in Cincinnati, Ohio\u2014the birthplace of aviation in America and also home to GE Aviation World Headquarters. He misses Portland’s dining scene, weirdness and microbreweries.<\/p>\n

Crystal Galarza<\/strong><\/p>\n

Crystal graduated from Linfield College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in intercultural communication. In April, she will graduate from her master\u2019s program in international development and service from Concordia University. During the two-year program, she has been exposed to various global issues connected to conflict-affected societies, poverty, advocacy, community building and nonprofit leadership in addition to serving two semesters abroad in Italy and Ecuador. She hopes to continue working in the international development field, partnering with vulnerable populations to strengthen their communities. She also hopes to engage in mentorship to\u00a0increase international opportunities for students of color and advocating for multiethnic collaboration.<\/p>\n

Brittanie\u00a0Roberts<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brittanie graduated with a master\u2019s degree in sociology in December 2014. Having completed her education, she has been able to re-engage in her community. She serves on the parks and budget committees of Vernonia, Ore., and is running for a school district board position. She will attend the Pacific Sociological Association annual conference in Long Beach, Calif., as a presenter and will share her sociology research with a large audience. She is excited about all of these current events and looks forward to further opportunities for growth and development.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
