Hard to believe\u00a0it is fall already!\u00a0I don\u2019t know\u00a0about you, but\u00a0for me it feels\u00a0like I blinked\u00a0and summer was\u00a0here and gone.\u00a0A couple noteworthy\u00a0things\u00a0occurred in that\u00a0blink, including\u00a0lots of Ford Scholar goodness.<\/p>\n

I was honored to welcome the\u00a0Class of 2011 to the Ford Scholar\u00a0Alumni Association at their concluding\u00a0leadership conference in June.<\/p>\n

Not long after in July, it was\u00a0amazing to see the current Scholars\u00a0at their leadership conference, run\u00a0karaoke for them, engage in some\u00a0good networking of Scholars and\u00a0alumni, and get to chip around some\u00a0golf balls before grabbing some grub\u00a0with fellow alumni.<\/p>\n

I want to extend a huge thank you\u00a0to the alumni who attended the alumni\u00a0meet and greet at Eagle Crest with the\u00a0current Scholars and the alumni meetup\u00a0social activities. For the second year\u00a0of the event, it was pretty phenomenal\u00a0to see the number in attendance\u00a0double. The feedback from the current\u00a0Scholars was all very positive, and\u00a0they\u2019re excited to do it again next year.\u00a0Their one request is to meet and network\u00a0with EVEN more alumni. I think\u00a0that is a good place to be.<\/p>\n

Mark your calendars now, alumni,\u00a0to make the Scholars\u2019 dreams of\u00a0meeting you come true: July 16, 2016,\u00a0at Salishan Resort near Lincoln City.
