Salem Earth Day Event

Ford Scholar Alumni Marshall Curry, John Cheney and Nelya Drofyak helped set up a Youth Garden Educator Workshop at Marion- Polk Food Share in Salem as part of Earth Day festivities on April 17.

Not only did Curry coordinate the entire FSAA involvement in Earth Day events, he lined up some Ford volunteers to help out at the Marion-Polk Food Share on Friday, April 17 in Salem.

“We set up tables, made gift baskets, put together floral arrangements, even helped bake cookies!” Curry said. He and five Ford volunteers also helped the garden program staff prepare for a youth educator workshop in the warehouse of the Food Share’s distribution center.
“I can’t thank the Scholars, alumni and community members that accepted my invite enough,” Curry said.
